PURPOSE:
This position is responsible for leading Energy Alloys' customer responsive Canadian Operations.


ENTRY QUALIFICATIONS:
• BS in manufacturing or engineering-related field or equivalent work experience. Oilfield industry experience preferred.
• Minimum of 5+ years relevant work experience with 2 or more years of supervisory experience
• Ability to work as an active / participating member of a regional management team.
• Demonstrated ability to build and manage a high performing organization. Manages personnel including hiring, training, disciplinary action, performance appraisals, salary plans, career development, job change actions and counseling/coaching staff.
• Must have interdisciplinary knowledge, specifically quality standards (ISO), customer requirements/specifications, shipping, and logistics.
• Possess good PC skills and knowledge of JDE a plus

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITY AREAS:
• Responsible for the Health and Safety of the facility
• Leads a culture of proactive safety that focuses on preventing accidents. ( e.g., Measures are lost time and recordable accidents, a proactive safety measure, and near misses)
• Implement consistent and robust quality / reliability processes. Supports and develops timely root cause and Corrective actions.
• Promotes an environment where people are encouraged to share ideas that improve performance, quality, and customer satisfaction. Holds self and organization accountable to proactively deliver continuously improved quantifiable results that support the organization's goals and objectives. ( improvement objects to be established by Director of Operations)
• Demonstrated ability to build and manage a high performing organization. Manages personnel including hiring, training, disciplinary action, performance appraisals, salary plans, career development, job change actions and counseling/coaching staff.
• Develops and maintains departmental scorecards and measurements to assess performance and execution effectiveness. Shares results and plans for improvement with peers in region and throughout Energy Alloys.
• Prepares and controls departmental budgets and expenses. Monitors monthly to ensure alignment with budget and control of variances.
• Responsible for facilities layouts and maintenance.
• Responsibility for logistics – (e.g., freight as % of sales, performance of logistics organization )
Sets vision and drives actions / accountability that will drive a sustainable competitive advantage while
• Exceeding customer expectations. Interface and work with Product Managers / Sales / Marketing to understand and exceed the market needs in terms of cost, cycle times, and reliability
• Responsible for inventory accuracy and velocity. Drive inventory accuracy through robust cycle counting and corrective action process. Establish processes and metrics to drive higher velocity and throughput.
• Manage capacity across the business unit. This includes external (third party) resources. Manager must integrate Energy Alloys capacity with customer's needs
• Proactively seeks out best practices (Energy Alloys, industry, customers, suppliers, etc.) for implementation in Energy Alloys. Communicates, coordinates and shares best practices within Energy Alloys
